HALLOWEEN IS MORE FUN WHEN THE PARKS ARE MORE THAN ONE!
On October 31st and November 1st Italia in Miniatura in Rimini, Oltremare Riccione and Acquario of Cattolica celebrate Halloween Parky: a creepy weekend for the fun of kids and grown ups
Halloween weekend approaches fast and Italia in Miniatura, Oltremare Riccione and Acquario of Cattolica, the parks of the Costa Edutainment group, take it in stride and offer the funniest, creepiest and more entertaining Halloween weekend ever, to take place in the three parks on both Saturday, October 31st and Sunday, November 1st.
Italia in Miniatura celebrates Halloween for the twelfth year, with mad scientists showcasing the power of physics in the Science Fun Fair pavillion twice a day, at 10,30 am and 2,30 pm with live demonstrations and a theatrical approach. Those who dare to learn how legendary unfortunate lovers or ghosts still haunt Italy’s castles may join the Italy’s Horror Journey, an interactive guided tour led by actors departing on both mornings at 11,30 and touring Miniature Italy in 30 minutes. In the afternoon, from 3,00 pm a children-oriented program takes place in Piazza Italia with group games and challenges, a contest on stage for the best Halloween costumes and prizes and gadgets galore.
At Oltremare in Riccione kids and grown ups will be given an absolute thrill in the close encounters of the first type with the dolphins in the Lagoon (children will be delighted to spot Taras, the little bottleneck dolphin who is little more than one year of age) and the dramatic Flight of the birds of pray, where eagles, hawks, owls and vultures perform their solitary flights and soar low enough to sweep visitors’ heads, calling for shrills of excitement and amusement. In the Darwin area, on Saturday and Sunday at 3,00 p.m. a “Scaretour” will lead visitors in the bowels of the Earth to witness the origin of life on our planet with the fascinating creatures that inhabit it.
Acquario of Cattolica’s scarcely-lit passages and beautiful illuminated tanks housing hundred species of colourful fish, Humboldt’s penguins, otters, reptiles and marine creatures are all the rage in a perfectly scary Halloween atmosphere: on 10,15 am visitors may stumble across encounters with strange characters and at 3,00 pm kids will be taught the tips and skills of the perfect Halloween attitude to go and play trick-or-treat in front of the huge bullshark’s tank. No need to fear, everything is so exciting and facinating that everyone will be in for a laugh!
In all three parks kids less than 140 cm tall will have free admission if they show up in a Halloween costume. Make-up artists will be at the children’s disposal and all parks will be decorated in the rich scenery provided courtesy of Notte delle Streghe of San Giovanni in Marignano and Carnevale di Fano.
